Carrie picked us up at the airport and we are home at last.
The whole adventure was absolutely fabulous and we will look forward to the next one.

TANGO IN BUENOS AIRES

The tango is very important in Buenos Aires. We saw a Tango Show & Dinner at Esquina Carlos Gardel.

We left Crystal Symphony @ 10:00 AM and were met by our Buenos Aires guide Pedro Porqueras. We had been on board the ship for 34 days and sailed 12,404 land miles!!
Our stay in BA was for one night @ The Park Hyatt Buenos Aires and we spent 2 days touring with Pedro and then to the Airport for our 9:30PM flight to San Diego on Delta.

MONTEVIDEO, URUGUAY-ONE OF SOUTH AMERICA'S SISTER CITIES-2-6-11

Uruguay is one of South America's smallest countries. In addition, it has no extraordinary ancient history or colonial past similar to that of Peru or even Mexico. It was originally founded by the Spanish before declaring their independence along with their neighbor Argentina.
The port of Montevideo is the country's only large city. It houses more than half the nation's population; it is one of the continent's major sea ports; it is home to much of the South Atlantic fishing fleet; and a marvelous destination for those who want to get away from South America's well-traveled routes.

CRUISING TO MONTEVIDEO, URUGUAY-SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 2011.

We are on our last sea day. Tomorrow is Montevideo, Uruguay and then we disembark in Buenos Aires on Monday, February 7. We will spend 2 days in BA and then board our Delta plane @ 9:30 PM on Tuesday. We will be in San Diego at 10:00 AM on Wed.
